A farm by the name of Tourula has been entered
in the public land register as early as 1560
and it is one of the oldest
farms in Central Finland.
The last of its main buildings was built in 1906
and it was destroyed in a fire in 1986.
At that time the house already
stood in the middle of the city of Jyväskylä.
Today, Tourula is known as
a section of the city.
